Comfort Zone Story

For generations people have used cold packs and hot packs for first aid, home health, or for refreshing and relaxing.

A homemaker and seamstress whose original objective was to stabilize the contents of the standard cold and heat packs designed Comfort Zone Products. She determined the ideal number of sections to divide the contents into and the amount to put in each section.

For Christmas 2000 she gave a trio of two cold packs and one heat pack to her daughter's fiancé.

Later, she made a layered soft terry cloth bag with a Velcro closure to keep the cold and heat packs clean and provide comfort control when they are used.

In February and March 2001 she gave the four-item ensemble as wedding gifts.  They were well received.  Friends, neighbors and relatives also said they would like to have such an ensemble.  That was the start of Comfort Zone Products.

In May 2001, by customer request, the already very popular "Cea" Zone cold and heat packs were added to the product line.  The "Cea" Zones are named in reference to the seven cervical sections of the vertebrae.  They are also very useful for other areas like arms, elbows, knees, legs or even waist, low back or hips, (abdomen).  "Cea" is an intentional misspelling of "Sea".

Comments on Comfort Zone Products:

"I like the Polar Zone better than some I paid more for at a boutique and my daughter uses the Tropic Zone to warm her cold feet."

"Sectioning the contents of the Polar and Tropic Zone in addition to stabilizing them provides a more uniform temperature and allows them to cover more surface area.  I like the Polar Zones better than others I paid $75 for.  They are always flexible and conform to the area applied to."

"One of the doctors I do medical transcriptions for recommends cold packs for migraine headaches."
